Bio
Christian Gimber is a multidisciplinary designer partnering with tech companies, startups, and creative studios to craft compelling interfaces, experiences, and data visualizations. As a design generalist, Christian leverages his experience in creative direction, user experience, and interaction design to help teams deliver innovative solutions to complex problems.
At NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Christian combined his expertise in art, design, and software development to create intuitive data visualizations for public outreach and cutting-edge tools for mission operations. His award-winning projects include software for envisioning future spacecraft as holograms, art installations visualizing space exploration, and a web app identifying optimal Earth-to-Mars launch windows. In 2020, he designed an interactive user guide for NASA’s open-source ventilator project, earning recognition for his contributions to expanding life-saving medical equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Christian holds a B.A. in Design | Media Arts from UCLA, where he discovered his passion for creative technology. His journey began at age 13 when he launched a skateboard brand in San Diego, honing his skills in graphic design and branding before starting his freelance practice.
With a unique blend of creativity and strategy, Christian excels at providing creative direction during discovery, ideation, and prototyping phases. He thrives in collaborative environments, bridging gaps between technical and creative teams to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
